Cleveland Women's Rugby Football Club

CLEVELAND IRON MAIDENS

Est. 2003

The Cleveland Women's Rugby Football Club is a rugby union team from Cleveland, Ohio and member of USA Rugby. The team competes in the Midwest Women's Division II East Gold Conference against teams from Northeast Ohio, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Western New York.

CWRFC was founded in Cleveland in 2003. We play rugby around the region, and are members of the Ohio Rugby Union. We have spring, summer, and fall seasons, with roughly 30-45 active players at any given time. The team colors are red and black, and our nickname is The Iron Maidens. Our home field is Impett Park, located in Cleveland, Ohio.

We have an experienced coaching staff led by Kevin Clunie. The Iron Maidens are fortunate to also have a strong alumni network and partnerships with local businesses. This community helps provide for support for training sessions, matches, and tournaments.

We are also a founding member of Cleveland Women's Sports, a collective of competitive and professional women's sports teams in Northeast Ohio.
